Starting and resuming your application

How to start a new PGicover application, save your progress, and pick up where you left off.

This page explains how to begin a new application, how saving works, and how to come back to an application you have already started. You do not need to complete the application in a single session.

Before you start

You need a verified PGicover account. If you have not created one yet, see the account creation guide linked in the tech support index.

You will also need basic information about the loan and the personal guarantee: the loan amount, the name of the lender, and any loan documents you have received. You can upload these as you go.

Starting a new application

  1. Sign in to the PGicover app.
  2. From the home screen, select the option to start a new application.
  3. The app will ask which country the loan is in (Canada or the United States). This determines which questions and document requirements apply.
  4. You will then move through the application form, which covers information about you, the business, and the loan.

You do not need to complete every section at once. The app saves your answers as you go.

How the qualification step works

Before the full application form, the app may take you through a short qualification step. This collects a small number of key details to assess whether your situation is within the product parameters. The result of this step is shown to you before you proceed to the full form.

You do not need to have every answer ready. If you are missing a figure, you can return to complete it later.

Saving your progress

Your answers are saved automatically each time you move between sections. You do not need to manually save. If you close the app or lose your connection, your progress will be there when you return.

Resuming an application

  1. Sign in to the PGicover app.
  2. From the home screen, open your existing application.
  3. Continue from where you left off.

If you have multiple applications, they are listed on your home screen. Each shows its current status.

Your application moves through a series of statuses as it progresses. The main ones you will see as an applicant are:

If the status is not clear, or if you expected an update and have not received one, contact us.

Editing a submitted application

If your application has been submitted and the underwriting team requests changes, you can update it. Re-submit when your changes are complete. The system logs what changed between submissions.

If you cannot find your application

Make sure you are signed in with the same account you used to create it. Applications are tied to your account and are not visible to other users. If you believe you created an application but cannot see it, contact us.
